Loose leaf tea is "the real thing" when it comes to tea. While tea- bags are practical, loose leaf tea has a wide range of benefits, plus it gives you the opportunity to brew your tea with a feeling of genuineness and your own personal touch.

Loose leaf tea is not only higher quality, but comes in a range of flavours and varieties which isn't found in the world of ready - bagged tea. You can also make your very own blends, whether it's adding dried flowers or leaves from your garden,or extra spices to your chai tea. Your imagination is the only limit.

When it comes to the environment, loose leaf tea wins on several fronts: you can always directly compost loose leaf tea, plus the higher quality of the tea makes it possible to re-brew the leaves if you wish to do so.

You can still use fillable bags to brew loose leaf tea and get the best of quality and practicality at once! We often use these in our Tea Shop as they are practical and fully compostable.

Our Organic Commitment

25 out of our 47 teas are currently organic. That is a solid 53 %. 

Our aim is to reach a 70%-80% organic tea selection.

Loose leaf tea is considered more environmentally friendly than bagged tea, as you can compost it & even re-use it. Besides higher quality in general, loose leaf tea can also be organic. We believe that in an ideal world, all tea should be organic & traceable to the individual plantation, which is why we always try to find organic alternatives to our non-organic teas whenever possible.

 The regulations for organic products are very strict, which means many tea producers are simply not able to meet the criteria. Organic production is also often more expensive, a price we are willing to pay, we hope you too want to support organic teas! We as consumers have to support organic tea producers by asking for organic tea.
We are very proud to have this high percentage of organic tea sortiment, we ask you to keep buying and asking for organic teas, and we will keep meeting the demand.

How to choose tea

When a tea speaks to you, then listen. This could be your tea companion through  many adventures and remarkable moments!

First, you need to decide whether you want black tea, green tea, rooibos tea or herbal tea. If you don’t know or don’t mind which type of tea you want, the question is what flavor you want to sense the most, or maybe you want a neutral tea.

To make it easier to find your tea, here is a quick flavour guide. This is only a very rough guide. Note that one teas can be in different categories as they can be both minty and fruity etc.
